Even if you are well-versed in DI, you will be lucky to get 10 questions correct. I’m not bad with DI, and I only got 8 questions correct. Tip for the quiz: watch for group vs individual DI in the questions.

The number of advisors selling DI goes down every year. It’s like a dying art that not many advisors are interested in. However, the number of clients needing DI goes up every year.

To me, this means opportunity for advisors who can either learn the subject matter or work with a DI expert to do the work and share commissions.

Financial ConNEXTion…Paying it Forward

Corey, the DI Geek, uses the 15-question DI quiz during the Financial ConNEXTion cruise he’s been supporting for years (and I’ve been a part of the last two years).

What is Financial ConNEXTion? It’s a career exploration “team” competition.

Who takes part in this competition? College students in a financial planning curriculum.

What’s special about a competition being held on a cruise ship?

All the students, judges, speakers, non-speaking professionals, and students get several days’ worth of interaction with each other. Everyone has the option of eating dinner together in a special dining area. Of course, you are together during scheduled events, but you also run into attendees at breakfast and/or lunch and even on excursions, etc.
